Just about three weeks after the groundbreaking ceremony, the rooftop solar power system at the KCC Vietnam factory has been installed and officially put into operation. The rapid progress is the result of close coordination between all parties, from preparation and construction to system completion, aiming to bring the project into efficient operation.

VETS | EnE sincerely thanks KCC Vietnam Factory for their trust and partnership in the project implementation. This is not only a milestone in the cooperation between the two businesses but also opens up new opportunities in realizing effective energy solutions, promoting the transition to green energy, and aiming for long-term sustainable development.

Creating tangible value from renewable energy solutions.

The solar power system at KCC Vietnam is expected to contribute to optimizing electricity costs, increasing the use of renewable energy, and improving energy management efficiency in production operations.

By adopting the ESCO model, businesses can access green solutions and invest in new equipment and technologies at the lowest cost and with the highest efficiency.

With a total capacity of 300kWp, the solar power system, once completed, will bring many practical benefits to the KCC Vietnam factory:

  • Significant savings in electricity costs during the production process.
  • Actively harness clean energy from sunlight.
  • Reducing CO₂ emissions contributes to achieving green development goals.
  • Increase investment efficiency and enhance the long-term competitiveness of businesses.
  • Towards a sustainable production model in line with current energy transition trends.

Investing in solar power systems not only brings economic benefits but also demonstrates a company’s commitment to using renewable energy, reducing environmental impact, and enhancing its brand image.

With experience in consulting and implementing energy solutions, VETS | EnE continuously expands its capabilities, gradually realizing energy saving solutions and developing renewable energy through the ESCO model. In each project, VETS | EnE focuses on every step, from surveying and assessing electricity needs, designing solutions, to implementation, construction supervision, and operation, aiming to ensure technical quality, safety, and long-term operational efficiency.

ESCO Model: Collaboration to Promote Energy Saving and Efficiency

An ESCO (Energy Service Company) is a type of energy service company that specializes in providing comprehensive energy solutions, including the design and implementation of energy-saving projects. ESCOs undertake a comprehensive energy service package encompassing planning, construction, installation, operation and maintenance, optimization, and more. This model ensures that investment costs, energy savings results, and commercial risks are covered while implementing and managing energy-efficient solutions throughout the service period.

The ESCO model ensures that investment costs are offset by energy savings for businesses.

In Vietnam, the ESCO model has been introduced and promoted through international cooperation programs, including the “Energy Saving and Cleaner Production in Vietnam” project, implemented since 2011, funded by the Global Environment Fund (GEF) through the World Bank (WB), with the Ministry of Industry and Trade as the lead implementing agency. According to a survey by the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology for Energy Saving and Efficiency (VECEA), as of July 2024, Vietnam has over 200 organizations and businesses operating in the field of energy saving consulting and service provision, demonstrating the potential for development of the domestic energy service market.

VETS | EnE is one of the leading providers of ESCO (Energy Service Provider) packages in Vietnam, offering a comprehensive process from in-depth energy usage surveys and analyses, to solution design and implementation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the system. Through this model, VETS | EnE aims to remove technical, equipment, and implementation capacity barriers, helping businesses access efficient energy solutions, optimize operating costs, and enhance competitiveness.

The 300 kWp rooftop solar power project at KCC Vietnam Factory marks a significant step forward as VETS | EnE takes on the role of investor for a solar power ESCO project for the first time, affirming its development orientation from consulting solutions to realizing energy saving opportunities, accompanying businesses on their journey towards green energy transition and sustainable development.
