On August 28, VETS | EnE, in its role as a domestic consulting partner, participated in the training program and field assessment results reporting session of the Thai Nguyen Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Club (EEC).
As a domestic consulting partner supporting the Club, VETS | EnE contributed to professional knowledge-sharing activities and program coordination. The event also provided an opportunity for EEC members to review their activities and achievements in 2026, while strengthening connections and sharing expertise and practical experience in implementing energy efficiency (EE) and emissions reduction measures in manufacturing. These activities support enterprises in addressing practical challenges and identifying appropriate opportunities for improvement.

Training on Energy Management Systems in accordance with ISO 50001
As part of the program, Mr. Duong Chi Cong, VETS | EnE Expert, led a training session and discussion with EEC member enterprises on Energy Management Systems in accordance with ISO 50001. The session focused on a systematic approach to managing and improving energy performance. Through practical exercises and discussions, enterprises were guided to assess their current energy management practices, identify improvement opportunities, and establish a foundation for more effective energy management.

In addition to ISO 50001, Mr. Duong Chi Cong also shared insights into data standardization, measurement, and monitoring of energy performance. The content was tailored to the specific characteristics of the mechanical manufacturing and steel industries, helping enterprises strengthen their capacity to collect and analyze energy data and monitor the effectiveness of implemented measures. This provides a more robust basis for enterprises to make data-driven decisions to improve energy performance.
Reporting Field Assessment Results from 11 Member Factories
Previously, from August 19 to 26, consulting experts conducted field visits to 11 EEC member factories. The assessment focused on reviewing the progress of energy efficiency solutions proposed during the previous phase, providing on-site consultation on existing challenges, and identifying areas with further potential for energy efficiency improvements.
Based on the field assessments, the experts identified additional opportunities to improve energy performance across manufacturing operations. Corresponding improvement measures were then proposed, taking into account the operating conditions and specific characteristics of each enterprise. Sharing the results of the field visits, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kien, VETS | EnE Expert, highlighted key findings and discussed opportunities for further improving energy performance across the member factories.
