6 October, 2026

On September 21, 2026, VETS | EnE participated in the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Northern Region Energy Auditor Training Course as the training unit. This was the final training course in Hanoi in a series of programs implemented in the North, Central, and South regions.

Context and objectives of the training course

The electricity sector plays a core role in ensuring national energy security and maintaining the stable functioning of the economy. With electricity demand continuing to rise, improving operational efficiency, controlling energy costs, reducing losses, and promoting green transition are becoming increasingly urgent tasks.

The training course was implemented within the framework of the Law on Economical and Efficient Energy Use; Directive No. 09/CT-TTg dated March 19, 2026, of the Prime Minister on strengthening energy saving; and the National Program on Economical and Efficient Energy Use for the period 2019-2030. The program was organized in three regions: North, Central, and South, aiming to equip trainees with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct audits, assess energy efficiency, and propose appropriate energy saving solutions. The training course in Hanoi was the final one, with the participation of 43 trainees from units under and directly affiliated with EVN.

Representatives from various units and 43 trainees participated in the commemorative photography training course.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Cu Huy Quang – Head of the Energy Saving Department, Department of Energy and Oil and Gas, Ministry of Industry and Trade – emphasized the role of training in developing a team of energy auditors with expertise and practical skills. Through surveys, measurements, and analysis, energy audits help businesses identify losses and waste, and choose appropriate investment solutions to save energy, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
