On June 29, 2026, in Hanoi, the Department of Innovation, Green Transition and Industrial Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) successfully organized the seminar “Energy Efficiency: Driving Change Through Policy and Technology.” VETS | EnE participated as a key stakeholder, engaging in discussions on the latest policy developments and exploring advanced technological solutions to support businesses on their journey toward sustainable development.

The seminar was one of the flagship activities of the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Community (VEEC) under the Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Programme for the 2019–2030 Period (VNEEP3). The event brought together representatives from government agencies, provincial Departments of Industry and Trade, energy conservation centers across Northern Vietnam, industry experts, and manufacturing enterprises.
Policy Frameworks and Digital Technologies Driving Energy Efficiency
As energy demand continues to grow, ensuring energy security while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions has become an increasingly urgent priority. Energy efficiency is widely recognized as a key driver of green growth and an effective means of enhancing business competitiveness.
During the seminar, experts presented updates on the latest policies, legal frameworks, and regulatory requirements related to energy management. Discussions also highlighted emerging trends in the development of smart industrial parks and smart factories. Participants emphasized that comprehensive digital transformation can significantly optimize production processes, improve operational productivity, and minimize unnecessary energy losses in today’s evolving industrial landscape.
AI-Powered Innovations in Energy Management
One of the seminar’s key highlights was the presentation of advanced technological solutions from leading companies, particularly the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in system control and operational optimization.
AI-powered solutions enable enterprises to automate monitoring processes, improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and achieve long-term cost optimization. These technologies are becoming increasingly important in helping businesses meet both economic and environmental objectives.
The seminar also featured interactive discussion and consultation sessions, providing participants with opportunities to address practical challenges related to technology adoption, financing models, and project implementation while strengthening collaboration within Vietnam’s energy efficiency network.
