As a consulting and implementation partner, VETS | EnE has officially opened registration for a programme supporting enterprises in Northern Vietnam in implementing Energy Management Systems (EnMS) in accordance with ISO 50001 and Energy System Optimization (ESO). The programme is jointly implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).
Supporting Enterprises in Improving Energy Management and Efficiency
As energy costs increasingly affect production efficiency and business competitiveness, establishing a systematic energy management framework enables enterprises to better monitor and control energy consumption, identify significant energy uses, and progressively improve operational performance.
The programme focuses on supporting enterprises in implementing Energy Management Systems (EnMS) in accordance with ISO 50001, while introducing Energy System Optimization (ESO) solutions tailored to their specific production conditions and operational requirements.
Through the programme, participating enterprises will have opportunities to:
- Identify energy-saving opportunities and optimize energy consumption.
- Improve the operational efficiency of energy systems within industrial facilities.
- Reduce energy costs and overall operating expenses.
- Contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions from production activities.
- Enhance production efficiency and business competitiveness.
By integrating systematic energy management with technical optimization, the programme enables enterprises to move beyond short-term energy-saving measures and gradually establish a structured framework for continuous energy performance improvement.
Which Enterprises Are Eligible to Participate?
The programme is open to enterprises operating in Northern Vietnam with an annual energy consumption of 800 tonnes of oil equivalent (TOE) or more, operating in one of the following 10 industrial sectors:
- Food Processing
- Plastics
- Beverages
- Textiles and Garments
- Pulp and Paper
- Cement
- Metallurgy and Steel
- Chemicals and Fertilizers
- Rubber
- Seafood Processing
Enterprises meeting the programme’s eligibility criteria will have the opportunity to receive consulting services and implementation support throughout 2026.
