On September 10, 2026, in its capacity as an energy expert, VETS | EnE participated in the “Energy Saving Network Connection Workshop” organized by the Vietnam Association of Science and Technology for Energy Saving and Efficiency (VECEA) at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), Dong Anh, Hanoi.
Within the framework of the Workshop, experts from VETS | EnE shared two key topics: the activities of Energy Efficiency Clubs and international experience in building an Energy Efficiency Network in Vietnam. Through this, VETS | EnE further affirmed its role as a leading domestic consulting firm with expertise in the field of energy saving and efficiency, accompanying businesses and organizations in the process of sustainable development.

Delegates and guests attending the workshop pose for a commemorative photo.
The workshop was held within the framework of the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency 2019–2030 (VNEEP3), with the participation of representatives from the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion (DCK) – Ministry of Industry and Trade, local management agencies, VECEA, energy consulting organizations, energy service enterprises (ESCOs), research institutes, universities and key energy users.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hiep – Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology for Energy Saving and Efficiency (VECEA) delivered the opening speech.
Practical experience from Energy Efficiency Clubs
One of the key focuses of the Workshop was sharing experiences in implementing Energy Efficiency Clubs in Vietnam. Typical models presented included the Energy Efficiency and Climate Action Club (EEC) in Ho Chi Minh City; the Energy Efficiency and Climate Action Club for SMEs in Binh Duong; the Energy Efficiency Club in Thai Nguyen; and the Energy Efficiency and Climate Action Club in the Sports Apparel Supply Chain (SWSC).
During the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hau – VETS | EnE expert – shared the operational status, achievements, and practical lessons learned from Energy Efficiency Club models.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hau – VETS | EnE expert shared about the operational status and achievements of the Energy Efficiency Clubs.
The models demonstrate the effectiveness of connecting businesses with experts, consultants, and support organizations. Through training, energy audits, technical consulting, and experience sharing, businesses can improve their energy management capabilities, identify savings opportunities, and gradually implement appropriate solutions.
Proposed model for an Energy Efficiency Network in Vietnam.
In addition to practical experiences within Vietnam, the workshop focused on exchanging experiences in building energy saving networks in Germany, the United States, and Japan. International models show that networks play a crucial role in connecting businesses, experts, technologies, and financial resources to promote energy efficiency projects.
Associate Professor Dr. Duong Trung Kien, representing VETS | EnE, shared his insights on international experiences and proposed a model for an energy saving network in Vietnam.

Mr. Duong Trung Kien – Vice President of VECEA, CEO of VETS | EnE, shared international experiences and proposed a model for an energy saving network in Vietnam.
Based on international experience and practices in Vietnam, this paper proposes developing a multi-tiered, enterprise-centered model for the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Network. The network is oriented towards connecting regulatory agencies, consulting organizations, ESCOs, financial institutions, and technology providers.
The model is simultaneously linked to ESCO mechanisms, green finance, and measurement and verification (M&V). According to the proposal, the network could be piloted in the 2026–2027 period, before being standardized and scaled up nationwide in the 2028–2030 period.
Staying updated on policies and technology trends in energy efficiency.
The workshop also updated participants on new regulations regarding energy conservation and efficiency, including Law No. 77/2025/QH15, Decree No. 30/2026/ND-CP, and Circular No. 53/2025/TT-BCT. Discussions focused on the results of VNEEP3 implementation during the 2019–2025 period, the capacity of energy service consulting units, and the development orientation of the energy service market.

Mr. Dao Hong Thai – Vice President of VECEA Association – provided an update on legal regulations, the results of VNEEP3 implementation, and the capacity of energy service consulting units.
Delegates also discussed barriers to market development, including inconsistent data, financial resources, and expertise. Through this, the workshop emphasized the need for data standardization, the development of green finance, the promotion of ESCO/EPC models, and the enhancement of the capacity of consulting firms.
In addition, the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solution was also introduced as an approach to help businesses optimize the use of solar power, enhance energy self-sufficiency, and reduce operating costs.

Mr. Trinh Ngoc Tho – Deputy Director of Technical Solutions & Services – Viettel Hanoi Construction Branch shared about the solution “BESS – The Key to Green Energy Transition”
