On October 11, 2022, workshop: “Sharing experiences in implementing energy-saving solutions of the Small Energy Efficiency Group (SEEG)” in Hai Phong.

Within the framework of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project (4E) – phase II (2018 – 2021), the workshop was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Vietnam Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company (Vets | Energy) was selected by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as the Consulting firm, providing technical assistance to SEEG groups through training workshops and on-site support to help SEEG teams identify and recommend energy efficiency and saving measures.

At the Workshop, Vets | Energy was presented on energy efficiency solutions, was shared experiences and lessons learned to SEEG groups during the development of FEEAP.

With the comments and sharing presented at the Workshop, this is a useful program to exchange experiences among experts and enterprises in applying solutions to energy efficiency and conservation.

SEEG is a program that finds 25-30 Designated Energy Users (DEU) enterprises for technical assistance in one year. Each enterprise will appoint a “Small Energy Efficiency Group” (SEEG). GIZ’s consulting team will provide technical assistance to SEEGs through training workshops and coaching on-site to help SEEGs identify and recommend energy efficiency and conservation. By the end of the program, SEEGs are expected to complete their Facility Energy Efficiency Action Plan (FEEAP). The program will also train SEEGs with appropriate skills to be able to present, introduce and persuade the Board of Directors to approve the energy efficiency measures presented in the FEEAP.

In addition to training materials, SEEGs will also be provided with the necessary forms and checklists to support in the identification, assessment, description and introduction of energy efficiency recommendations. By the end of the program, consulting firm will synthesize all energy efficiency measures, share experiences and lessons learned with SEEGs during the development of FEEAP.
