On October 20, 2025, VETS | Energy and Environment, in its role as the National Consulting Unit of the project “Support to Vietnam for the Implementation of the Paris Agreement – Phase II (VN-SIPA II)”, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), participated in the Closing and Training Conference for the Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Club (EEC) in Thai Nguyen.

The event was organized following a series of site visits to individual member enterprises, with the participation of representatives from GIZ, the Department of Industry and Trade of Thai Nguyen Province, international experts from Arqum, national experts from VETS | Energy and Environment, and EEC member companies.

The conference aimed to review the activities carried out over the past year and to provide a forum for experts, enterprise representatives, and partners to exchange on highly practical topics such as: greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, development of emission reduction plans, and insights into the Emissions Trading System (ETS) and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

At the conference, experts from VETS | Energy and Environment presented the project results and shared in-depth consultations, providing direct advice and proposing sustainable energy efficiency solutions tailored to the actual conditions of local enterprises. These efforts contribute to the national journey toward emission reduction and a Net Zero future for Vietnam.

Through this program, VETS | Energy and Environment continues to reaffirm its leading role in supporting Vietnamese enterprises on their journey toward green energy transition and sustainable development, contributing to national emission reduction goals and global climate protection efforts.
