What is a GHG inventory?

According to the Law on Environmental Protection, GHG inventory collects information and data on sources of greenhouse gas emissions, calculating greenhouse gas emissions, and absorbing greenhouse gases within a specified range and for a particular year according to methods and procedures established by the competent authority.

– Law on Environmental Protection 72/2020/QH14 dated November 17, 2020;

– Decree No. 06/2022/ND-CP dated January 7, 2022 of the Government on Regulations on mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and protection of the ozone layer;

– Decision No. 01/2022/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister dated January 18, 2022 promulgating the list of sectors and facilities emitting greenhouse gases that must carry out a greenhouse gas inventory.
