According to Brand/Customer Requirements:
Today, with the global economy, compliance with the requirements of countries and regions where enterprises export their products must conduct Greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and report GHG emissions per unit of product has become mandatory. This creates fair competition among manufacturing enterprises and contributes to environmental protection.
3. Benefits of Conducting a Greenhouse Gas Inventory:
- Measuring and assessing environmental impact: GHG inventories help measure and assess the amount of greenhouse gases emitted from activities such as production, transportation, and consumption. This allows businesses to evaluate their impact on climate change and the environment.
- Risk management and development of emission reduction solutions: By accurately identifying the sources and volumes of GHG emissions, enterprises can determine the risks associated with climate change and the environment, thereby developing plans to mitigate emissions and adapt to climate change.
- Compliance with legal regulations: Conducting a GHG inventory helps organizations comply with legal regulations related to GHG and environmental reporting.
- Improving efficiency and saving costs: By identifying the sources of GHG emissions and implementing mitigation measures, enterprises can improve energy efficiency, enhance performance, and reduce costs associated with energy and waste.
- Creating brand value: Publicizing and reporting GHG inventory results can create positive brand value, marking the company’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection. This can increase the appeal of the company to foreign partners, especially those concerned with environmental issues.
- Contributing to global climate change efforts: By reducing their GHG emissions, organizations not only reduce their negative environmental impact but also contribute to global efforts to combat climate change and protect the planet.
