Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thi Tham

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thi Tham is a senior expert in environmental chemistry, environmental toxicology, and risk assessment. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Environment, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment (HUNRE). She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2023 and has nearly 20 years of experience in teaching, scientific research, and participation in projects related to the environment and human health. She is the co-editor of the academic monograph “Environmental Risk Assessment” and the author/co-author of numerous reputable national and international scientific publications (ISI/Scopus), particularly in the areas of air, water, and sediment pollution, heavy metals, and persistent organic pollutants.

In addition to her academic activities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thi Tham has led and participated in many ministerial-, national-, and NAFOSTED-funded science and technology projects. These include studies on ecological risk assessment, human health risk assessment, greenhouse gas emission factors in the solid waste sector, and the environmental impacts of thermal power plants and waste treatment facilities. She is widely recognized as a key expert in research, consulting, and training projects related to the environment, public health, and sustainable development in Vietnam.
